Guided by faith, she opened her Bible randomly to Colossians 3:23, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." This divine coincidence led to the birth of ArtVision323, a business dedicated to a higher purpose.

With faith as her anchor, Jesica quit her corporate job, and ArtVision323 became her full-time endeavor. Remarkably, her former employer even became a client. The journey continued, and in 2018, Jesica expanded her reach by opening an Etsy shop under the name Southern Strands Art, offering high-quality designs to a broader audience. But she didn't stop there.

In July of 2019, Jesica launched her own website, Southern Strands, further expanding her digital presence and making her designs accessible to a global audience.

For years, the business Jesica had built on passion and purpose continued to grow. What began as a creative spark had become a thriving six figure business, and for a season, the momentum felt unstoppable. She was creating constantly, her audience was growing, and the work she loved was sustaining the life she had always dreamed of building.

But seasons change.

As the economy shifted and artificial intelligence began reshaping the creative industry, the landscape Jesica had built her business on started to look different beneath her feet. The individual design sales model that had worked so beautifully for so long began to feel unsteady. She found herself working twelve hour days trying to hold everything together while simultaneously stepping into one of the most beautiful new chapters of her personal life, her marriage.

Despite her talent, her work ethic, and her genuine love for what she did, Jesica felt the weight of something she had never quite faced before. A business built on momentum and instinct rather than foundation was beginning to show its cracks. The harder she worked to recover what was slipping, the more exhausted she became.

So she got quiet.

In the same way she had turned to God in the middle of a tornado years before, she turned to Him again in the middle of this storm. Not with a plan. Not with a strategy. Just with an honest question. What is this supposed to become?

That question changed everything.

Jesica made the decision to stop trying to recover what was behind her and start building something completely new. She changed her entire business model from individual design sales to a membership community built around the women she felt called to serve. She built a brand new website entirely on her own. She moved from Facebook to YouTube as her primary way of connecting with new audiences. She cleaned a large email list down to under two hundred highly engaged subscribers and started fresh. She created The Creative Connection, a free faith-filled community on Skool where creative women could find encouragement, support, and genuine belonging. And from that foundation she launched the All Access Pass and Clip and Create, two membership offerings designed to give women everything they need to create beautifully and build their businesses with confidence.

It was equal parts terrifying and peaceful. Terrifying because she was stepping away from everything familiar. Peaceful because for the first time in a long time she felt like she was building on solid ground.

Proverbs 16:3 became the anchor of this season. "Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established." Jesica returned to that verse constantly. Not as a guarantee that everything would work out perfectly but as a reminder that she was not building alone. She had learned years before in the middle of a tornado that God does not abandon the work He places in our hands. That truth carried her through this season too.

This is not a story of recovered success. It is a story of faithful rebuilding. And Jesica will be the first to tell you that the difference between the two is peace.

She lives in Mississippi with her husband, where they are preparing to break ground on their forever home, on The Little Mountaintop. It is a tangible reminder that solid ground is worth building on, in life, in faith, and in business.
